Last Day.
Today is my last day at my current job.
On wednesday, I start a new job I’m really, really excited about.
This was a nice birthday present.
I turned 26 today.
And nothing changed :)
I worry a lot about first impressions.
Which is basically just a way of saying I overthink what I say, what a wear, and how I behave.
This is in large part because I assume that a small percentage of people might still judge me for things entirely outside of my control. In reaction to that, I spend too much time managing and controlling the things I am in charge of.

This is my problem with people who say ‘embrace failure’. A mistake, or series of mistakes, is not the same as failure. Failure counts, and should be avoided. Failure is, at least in part, surrender.

I’m laying in bed, listening to music, and screwing around on the Internet on my phone. In a few hours I’ll be showered, dressed, and actually interacting with people. Right now?
I’m busy actually relaxing. Most important realisation of the last year: fun and relaxing are rarely the same thing. Make time for both.
