I have no numbers to support this, but here’s the short version of my latest theory:
For every ancillary revenue stream (ad, etc) that interrupts or detracts from the experience of your product, there is a reduction in future users / customers that invalidates the profit from said ancillary revenue stream.
An example is pirated film downloads as a response...

Unfiltered.
I just took the screen protector off my iPhone for the first time since I bought it about a year and a half ago.
And I remember now that putting something between your fingers, and a sensitive, well made touchscreen, may be slightly moronic.
Also, images seem sharper and brighter. I am officially no longer part of the screen protector mafia.
The Upside to Arrogance.
I literally assume I can do anything (within reason.) As such, I don’t back away because something looks hard, or very hard.
Giving up would be admitting that something is beyond me, and I really don’t like to do that.
[This doesn’t stop me from quitting when something seems boring.]

Sensitive Boy.
My entire life, as far as I can remember, people have referred to me as a sensitive boy. Usually it’s been a positive, like the 4th grade teacher who, when speaking to my parents, intimated that my sensitivity would endear me to women later in my life.
